Francis In, Smith Out – Strongest 4-4-1-1 Bournemouth Lineup To Face Burnley

Predicted Bournemouth Line-up To Face Burnley In The Premier League

Bournemouth will host Burnley in a Premier League encounter on Wednesday. The hosts are on a 3-game unbeaten run, having registered comfortable wins against Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town, followed by a draw against Swansea City. The match against Burnley, however, will prove to be a tough one considering the spectacular form the visitors have been in.

Sean Dyche’s men started the new season hitting all the right notes and are sitting 7th in the league table whereas Bournemouth are at 13th spot. There is an 8-point difference between the two clubs, which makes the upcoming match quite an interesting one.

Team News

Simon Francis is likely to slot back into the defence after missing out on their 0-0 draw with Swansea as he was serving a suspension. Manager Eddie Howe could rest Callum Wilson to ensure he does not strain himself after recently recovering from two knee injuries. Meanwhile, Lewis Cook and Ryan Fraser could be in contention for a start.

Possible Bournemouth XI Against Burnley

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Manager: Eddie Howe

Asmir Begovic (GK)

The Cherries maintained clean sheets in their last 3 games and much of that has been because of Begovic, which should be enough for him to get a starting berth against Burnley.

Nathan Ake

Simon Francis (RB)

Fresh after serving a suspension, Francis is expected to be deployed in his usual role as the club get set to welcome Burnley.

Steve Cook (CB)

Cook notched up a last-minute winner for Bournemouth against Newcastle and has been pretty solid at the back, making it likely for Howe to hand him a start.

Nathan Ake (CB)

Bournemouth have been defensively solid in their last couple of games and Ake played a role in that. His partnership with Cook continues to get stronger and they will be important against an unpredictable Burnley attack.

Charlie Daniels (LB)

The defensive line is likely to be completed with Howe deploying Daniels in his usual role at left-back as the defender continues to impress.

Charlie Daniels

Ryan Fraser (RM)

Ibe continues to be out due to an injury and Fraser could once again start for the Cherries against Burnley as Howe hopes to keep a healthy rotation going on.

Lewis Cook (CM)

After having tasted some success with the England senior team recently, Cook should be high on confidence, making it likely for Howe to include him in the starting lineup ahead of Arter.

Andrew Surman (CM)

With a string of impressive performances in the heart of the field, Surman’s influence will be crucial against Burnley, who have quite a few tricky midfielders in their squad.

Marc Pugh (LM)

Although Pugh has not notched up any extraordinary performances so far, the fact remains that he brings about a sense of solidity for the Cherries, making it possible for him to start against Burnley.

Joshua King

Joshua King (SS)

King was impressive against Huddersfield Town, which should see him take up his secondary striker role against Burnley since Bournemouth will need their attack to be very sharp.

Benik Afobe (CF)

Afobe could get a start against Sean Dyche’s men since Howe will need to keep most of his players fresh for the upcoming matches as well.
