France Vs Germany – Line-ups, Injury news, Preview and Prediction

Germany will hope to put in a strong performance  against France and reverse their poor recent record when the two sides come head to head against each other at the Stade De France on Wednesday.

This friendly sees two of the best national teams of Europe against each other in what promises to be a enthralling clash as both the teams  look to find some momentum ahead of their upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this year.

France will be without Real Madrid ‘s impressive centre back Raphael Varane as he pulled out of the Friendly with a muscle injury that he picked up in Last week ‘s Clasico where he proved to be the vital difference between Madrid and Barca. Newcastle ‘s star man Moussa Sissoko has been called up in the squad after his impressive performance in Newcastle ‘s 3-2 win over Chelsea where he scored a brace !

Didier Deschamps has also called up Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema after he missed France ‘s last fixture due to injury. France look a formidable unit in attack with star players like Olivier Giroud, Franck Ribery, Jeremy Menez and Bafetimbi Gomis in their squad. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be looking to continue his impressive form at Tottenham whereas Manchester United ‘s Patrice Evra has been brilliant so far this season and will be looking to put in another fine display against the Germans.

Germany have been hit with injuries as they get ready to head over to Paris, aiming to take revenge of their last year’s loss to the Les Blues. Germany will be without three Borussia Dortmund players for their international friendly against France on Wednesday night. Full-back Marcel Schmelzer has been ruled out with an ankle problem, while attacker Marco Reus has been forced to pull out with an abductor injury.

Gomez gets a call back to the National team again

Mario Gotze will also play no part because he is suffering with the flu. Bastian Schweinsteiger also decided to pull out with an ankle complaint. Miroslav Klose also pulled out after suffering a knee ligament injury last week.

Coach Joachim Low has recalled Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez into his 23-man squad for the match with Mario ready to make his first appearance for the Germans since the European Championships in June and he looks set to lead the line due to German ‘s long list of absentees.Low will also be keeping an eye on Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler.
