France International To Make A Shock Return To Chelsea

One of the ex-Chelsea player may make a return to Stamford Bridge this summer. According to French news from BeIN Sports, the club has bid for Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra.

The <a href=”http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/685668/Michy-Batshuayi-Lassana-Diarra-Paul-Pogba-Chelsea-CFC-Transfer-News-Rumours-Gossip”>report</a> has specified that Chelsea and Manchester United both have made a concrete offer to sign the player and other suitors include Spartak Moscow and Inter Milan. However the 31 year old midfielder has reportedly rejected Inter and Spartak and may move to Premier League. While a competition from Manchester Untied may complicate matters for the Blues, the familiarity with Chelsea may gain them the upper hand.

He had spent two years at Chelsea previously between 2005 and 2007 and has been called “new Makelele”. Antonio Conte may lose a number of squad members as the Italian manager looks to revamp the Chelsea team. Diarra could prove to a valuable addition given that he is already familiar with the Premier League and the club.
