FPL Tips: Time seems right to invest big on Liverpool stars considering their easy run of fixtures

Liverpool’s relatively easier run of fixtures makes their assets appealing Fantasy Premier League prospects

As the Premier League returns, the Fantasy Premier League managers will be licking their lips. The international break always gives managers ample time to take a good look at their squad and analyse the changes to be made.

Many could be playing their wildcard given that this is the best time to make wholesale changes. One team that has a decent run of fixtures coming up after the break is Liverpool.

The Reds made a superb start to their campaign this time out and are yet to be beaten in the league. Though they are now winless in their last four games in all competitions, Jurgen Klopp’s side are very much in the race for the title and given that the Merseyside club made it to the final of the Champions League last season, hopes will be high.

Liverpool have a relatively calmer run of fixtures after a hectic opening schedule to the season. In the next 8 of their league fixtures, only Arsenal rank 4 in the fixture difficulty ranking. Jurgen Klopp’s men come up against Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City in the next two fixtures.

Both teams have made dreadful starts to their Premier League campaign and that is exactly why now is a good time to sign Liverpool’s stars. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will be raring to return to form after slightly deteriorating in the last few weeks. However, Salah’s injury could be a cause of concern. Sadio Mane was also seen wearing a cast on his left hand and is a major doubt but the pair could return as soon as next week.

The trio of players have all seen their values reduce as well, so managers will be able to bring them in for a much cheaper fee. Cardiff and Huddersfield have both conceded a joint league-high 17 goals this season. Liverpool’s attack could run riot in both of those games.

New signing Xherdan Shaqiri can also prove useful after impressing in the early stages. The Swiss international has delivered in both of his last two games and can definitely add even more in the upcoming fixtures. Even if Salah and Mane are not available for this game, the former Stoke City winger is more than capable of delivering their absence.

Liverpool have also looked defensively solid at the back this season, conceding a total of just 3 goals so far, all of which have come away from home. While the game against the Terriers is away from home, clean sheet is still a possibility given that Huddersfield are a side struggling for goals.
