FPL tips – Here are 3 ideal goalkeeping candidates to sign including £4.6m Wolves star

Three ideal goalkeepers to sign for your Fantasy Premier League team

The right goalkeeper is always hard to find for your Fantasy Premier League team as every season a new one emerges from the dark. Fantasy managers who will be playing their wild cards before the end of the international break will be aiming to pick the best goalkeeper partnership for their squad.

While many managers rely on the clean sheets that premium goalkeepers often tend to rack, some like to go for the budget shot-stoppers who claim a higher percentage of their points from the saves they make. This is mostly because lesser sides often allow their opponents a number of shots on target.

While it has always been a good choice to go with one premium goalkeeper and one budget option, some managers have also found success by following a different strategy. Here we take a look at three ideal goalkeepers that can be brought in for this weekend.

Alisson Becker (Liverpool)

Liverpool have conceded the least number of goals this season, letting in a total of just 3 goals so far. Manchester City are the only other side to concede the same number of goals, but Alisson is a standout option given the Brazilian is yet to concede at Anfield this season.

Alisson

The Reds travel to Huddersfield Town next before welcoming Cardiff City to Anfield the week after. Both games pose a good chance for Alisson to pick up clean sheets and at £5.6million, the Brazilian should prove good value for a kind run of fixtures

Ederson Moraes (Manchester City)

Ederson has picked up clean sheets in the last 4 games and has been the go-to option between the sticks this season. Manchester City have also looked solid at the back, which is why they have been a keeping a lot of clean sheets.

Though the Brazilian rarely tends to pick up bonus points, he is still an assured option to deliver the clean sheet.

Rui Patricio (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Wolverhampton Wanderers have proven to be the surprise package in the league so far. They have looked defensively well-drilled and have conceded just 6 goals in their opening 8 games of the season. It’s rare to see a newly promoted team concede goals at such a low rate and that is why Patricio would be a gem for fantasy managers.

Priced just £4.6million, Patricio picked up 10 and 9 points in the last two gameweeks, also accumulating bonus points. Though the Wolves’ fixtures get tougher, the Portuguese shot-stopper is a fixture proof asset at the moment.
