3 Ideal Fantasy Premier League captaincy candidates for gameweek 10

As gameweek 10 looms large, the Fantasy Premier League managers will have a major dilemma over their captaincy candidates, given Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur face each other. A number of managers with Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane will have a tough time picking the right option but there are other potent options available as well.

Here we take a look at three ideal candidates that the managers can hand the armband to.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Despite the Egyptian’s patchy form, he has a brilliant record of finding the net at home. Except for the one game that came against Manchester City, the former Roma attacker has scored in all of his Anfield matches.

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool come up against Cardiff City in the Premier League this weekend and the Bluebirds should pose a relatively easier fixture for the Reds. Though Salah is still highly priced at £12.8million, Liverpool now have a kind run of fixtures with just Arsenal ranking 4 in the fixture difficulty ranking in the next 7 fixtures.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

Eden Hazard has been in sensational form for the Blues this season and everything good that Chelsea have produced has been through the fiery Belgian. Sarri’s men come up against a Burnley side that have just come away from a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City last weekend.

Sean Dyche’s men have also conceded a total of 17 goals in their 9 league games this season and haven’t proven to be defensively resilient as they were last season. Given Hazard’s form, he is the best captaincy option for this gameweek, although a number of managers could pick the Belgian, making him more a general pick rather than a differential one.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal)

The Gabon international now has 4 goals from 2 substitute appearances and has proven to be a massive game-changer for the Gunners despite his minimal game time over the last two weeks. Aubameyang has made immediate and swift impacts since coming on in both the matches.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal come up against Crystal Palace this weekend and given that Aubameyang often tends to score at home, he is a major threat going into this game. Palace have had a mixed start to their season.

However, managers should consider the risk that Aubameyang could start the Europa league fixture in midweek and could be benched one again. His teammate Alexandre Lacazette is also an equally potent option.
