Carlos Vela’s stint with Real Sociedad seems likely to end this summer as speculations increase about a possible return to the Emirates. The Gunners who sold the Mexican International back in 2012, reportedly gave away only 50% of his rights to Sociedad and have an option to re-sign the striker for a meagre £3.3million

Vela has grown in stature ever since he left to the San Sebastian and at 25, he looks to be in the prime of his career and if Arsene Wenger decides to pursue his former player, he can certainly get him at a price much below the market value.

As Per Espnfc.com,Vela has claimed that he might have to do things differently if he comes back to Arsenal and went on to admit that he wants to reach an agreement in which everyone are happy.

“I did not have as many chances as I wanted [at Arsenal] and I had to try something new. If I have to return to London I will do things in a different way. What happened in the past will not be repeated.”

“[Being topscorer] makes me proud. I do not play for these awards, but I want to say that not just I was happy with my work, the fans were also left satisfied.”

“We will try and reach an agreement in which we all win, Real [Sociedad], Arsenal and me. We must see what can be done. We will decide what will be my future, it is all about finding the best way to be happy.

Arsenal’s current first choice striker Olivier Giroud has been under severe criticism despite scoring a total of 22 goals in all competitions this season. With no further options up-front Wenger might be tempted to re-sign the Mexican.

Velas has notched up 16 goals this season, finishing as the club’s top scorer and will be available throughout the summer as he continues to remain in dispute with the Mexican FA and has pulled out of the World Cup squad.

In other news, talking about a possible contract extension – Arsene Wenger said “Normally, yes of course” as quoted by Sky Sports.

Wenger further claimed that the FA cup victory would prove to be the turning point for this team to carry on the momentum for future success.

“It was very important for this team and is a turning point to move on and it will take the pressure of their shoulders.

“We suffered in some games this season but this will give us something – belief and confidence, but overall we got 79 points, did well in the Champions League and we win the FA Cup and our team has shown remarkable consistency but we needed to win a trophy.” – He said after the match.
