Why This Forgotten Real Madrid Star Can Be A Long Term Replacement For Arsenal Midfield Wizard Santi Cazorla

Arsenal are in need of some young and talented players who can add flare to the first team, after ending yet another trophyless campaign. The Premier League title could have been “ours”, but Arsene Wenger and his team yet again failed to capitalize the best chance of winning the League. The level of performances dropped eventually and all possible opportunities to win any title was lost.

This has now become a major concern, as to why the players who depict so much passion at the start of a new campaign, slowly look tired and carefree towards the end of every campaign. There is no sense of urgency to win every game and a lifeless vibe is seen on the faces of our big superstars with time.

One man who has been particularly disappointing in recent times, especially in the big games has been Spanish international Santi Cazorla, who suffered a long term injury in the previous campaign and missed quite a few games.

The 31 year old midfielder is not getting any younger and his level of performances is slowly dropping with every year that passes by. Cazorla should still be a part of the squad, but it is high time to find a long-term replacement for him and Real Madrid’s Isco could be the answer to that.

The Gunners have been keen to add a young high quality star to their squad for the future and the 24 year old attacking midfielder, who has barely been used at the Bernabeu this season could be the perfect man that Wenger needs. He is energetic and a creative player and still quite young with good passing ability, which makes him an asset for the future.

The Spaniard plays good one touch football and will be able to linkup well with players like Sanches and Ozil. Since the arrival of Zinedine Zidane at the club, he has not been given too much playing time. Isco has barely made 100 appearances for the Los Blancos in the league, scoring 15 goals, since joining them from Malaga back in 2013.

Surely, he must be frustrated with the lack of game time with all the huge stars in the current side. Further, new players could be joining the club soon, which could push him further down the pecking order. There had been previous links stating that he was on his way to the Emirates, though nothing was finalized back then.

The player brings some much needed quality and experience at the top level and could be a huge asset to the north London giants, who keep facing injury problems season after season. Wenger is one manager who can nurture a player at a young age and make him into a legend, if the individual possess that ability in him.

Isco is one player who can surely achieve greatness with “us”, if he does make the move in the near future.
