Three Replacements For Zlatan Ibrahimovic Who Manchester United Can Target

Manchester United were one of the most consistent sides in England last season. They failed to pick up points at crucial times, failing to finish in the top-4 but they managed to win the Europa League final, that has brought them back into the elite European competition for next season.

However, United have some problems to solve as Jose Mourinho will now have to look for a replacement for Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who ended the season as the club’s top goal scorer with 28 goals to his name in all competitions.

It was revealed by BBC that the Swede was not going to be offered a new contract. However, the latest on the same is that it was only on the list of players to be retained submitted by Manchester United to Premier League that his name was missing. The Independent claims that the striker could still remain at Old Trafford next season. Zlatan is now nursing an injury which will keep him out of the game until the turn of the year. No matter what, Jose Mourinho has to look for a replacement, and here are three players who he should target this summer.

Andrea Belotti (Torino)

The Italian striker is one of the best finishers in the game at the moment and was one of the most productive players in Europe last season. Also wanted by a lot of other clubs, Belotti has been constantly linked with an exit but the Serie A club want a record fee to let him go this summer. With Zlatan not available next season, Mourinho will have to spend big on a replacement and Belotti is as good an option as any.

Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid)

One player on the list who is already close to a move to Manchester United is Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata. The versatile attacker has not been able to establish himself in the first team under Zinedine Zidane and has constantly been linked with an exit, with AC Milan reportedly interested in landing him. But recent reports suggest that United are now ready to break the bank for his services and he would be an able replacement for Zlatan at Old Trafford.

Alexandre Lacazette (Atletico Madrid)

The French international is easily one of the best players in his position in Europe. He has been in terrific form for the Ligue1 outfit AS Lyon but is finally ready to quit the club, in search of a new challenge. He was one of the favourites to join Atletico Madrid this summer but the transfer ban on the Vicente Calderon outfit will now mean that he could join other clubs instead. Arsenal and Liverpool are also monitoring his situation but Mourinho should look at him as a possible for the former PSG star.
