It might hurt a bit to be an Arsenal fan right now, having lost out on Sami Khedira, who has joined Juventus after he was linked with a move to Arsenal. The Gunners have lost out on another long-time target in Morgan Schneiderlin, who has joined Manchester United.
Arsenal have been in the market for a top defensive midfielder but their lack of activity has seen some of the other clubs take the step forward. Arsenal fans though should not worry as there are many top rated midfielders out there who could be signed by the club and we look at three midfielders who should be in the transfer list for Arsenal if they are to mount a challenge for the Premier League next season.
Gary Medel
The Inter Milan midfielder had a great Copa America with Chile. He would be a great addition to the Gunners and would play well with his Chile teammate, Alexis Sanchez. The best part of this deal is that Medel would not cost a whole lot of money and he could still provide service to the Gunners for a few years. Most importantly, Medel has played in the Premier League prior to this and adjusting to the rigours would not be a problem for this Chilean.
