Manchester United have had a mixed season this year and the fans have expressed their disappointment in large numbers. While many have blamed Louis van Gaal for United’s bad form, many have also blamed the current set of players. Even though United have reached the finals of the FA Cup, they are still struggling hard to finish in the top 4 of the EPL. They also showed meagre displays in the Champions League and Europa League. Fans feel that the current bunch of United players don’t show the passion that is required to wear the famous red jersey. Michael Carrick-
A United legend for many. And it’s true to be honest. Carrick is one of those warriors who never got enough credit for the great service he has rendered till now. But he hasn’t been the same for almost 2 seasons now. While last season he still had good passing skills, this season he has just been poor. His passes lack speed, creativity, and he has been quite slow on the ball too. Van Gaal still prefers to start him in most matches and honestly, it doesn’t seem to be the right choice. Carrick has struggled against fast paced teams like Liverpool, Tottenham etc and it’s about time Manchester United bids adieu to its once great warrior.
