Forget Signings – 3 Players Liverpool And Klopp Should Sell This Summer

Liverpool are surely having a great time under the German Manager Jurgen Klopp. After a long-long time, the fans are getting some good results. Liverpool are in the semi-finals of the Europa League and are the favourites to win the competition. Thanks to Klopp, the team is coming to its shape and the players are gaining a momentum.

A marvelous game against Dortmund brought the desire and the players showed real character. The side was undoubtedly the best in the game and even after the Europa League tie, they continued their exotic run of form. They had back to back victories in their bags and recently, they defeated Everton in the Merseyside Derby with a comfortable scoreline of 4-0 and the players were highly praised for that.

Obviously, the club will be targeting to grab the Europa League trophy this season and the squad is working on its full fitness for that. The players gave some fabulous performances in the course of time and the likes of Origi, Milner, Sakho and others have been exceptional under Klopp, but we do think there are some players who needs to be offloaded this coming summer.

Here are the 3 Liverpool players Klopp should sell in the coming transfer window.

Christian Benteke-

Christian Benteke

The Belgian joined the Reds as the second most expensive transfer in the club’s history. He was meant to be ‘The One’ for Liverpool, but he never fit in the plans of Jurgen Klopp. In the current scenario, he is more of a bench warmer.

The Belgian star is a strong striker and has all the abilities which make him one of the best in England, but the German Manager doesn’t fancy his luxuries. Benteke has 25 appearances to his name this season in which he has played just 9 full games and has been substituted in 3. He has scored 7 goals for the club, that’s a pretty good tally for a player who hasn’t appeared for the club many a times this season. He has the shooting accuracy of 45% in which he has shot 25 shots off target. Even the player and the fans know that this talented Belgian is not the ‘Liverpool Type’ and that’s why he should be sold this summer.

Kolo Toure-

Joined Liverpool on 28 May 2013 and was considered as one of the best in the league. Eventually, he dropped his form and dropped his place in the team. The 35-year-old Ivorian has a lot experience, but is having a poor season this year. He had some starts and that’s mainly because of the reason that the manager wanted to give his first team players some rest.

As we all have witnessed that Sakho and Lovren are hitting a top form under the manager and at the beginning of the next season, Liverpool will have another centre-half (Matip), this Ivorian will lose his spot in the team. He has appeared in just 12 games for Liverpool this season in which, he has played only 5 full games. The Ex-Arsenal star is surely a renowned defender, but his time as a Liverpool player is under a threat for sure.

Martin Skrtel-

Škrtel joined Liverpool on 11 January 2008 on a four-and-a-half-year contract from Zenit and took the premier league by storm. His aggression and his aerial abilities made him one of the best in Europe.

He was simply the Liverpool’s man and soon after his arrival, he settled well into the squad and partnered up with his colleague Daniel Agger. Both the defenders were the first choice center half’s for the club.

Coming on to the recent era, the Slovakian has lost his magic. The age is not on his side and is losing his pace. As Liverpool already have Lovren, Sakho and Matip will be arriving soon, the 31-year-old will have no chance to break into the Klopp’s starting XI. Skrtel has just 19 appearances to his name this term and most of them have been a horror show for the Slovakian.

Selling this player will be a no bite, no harm deal for the club and that’s why he is on our list of the players that Liverpool should sell this summer.
