Forget It Wenger – Why Arsenal Should Never Sell This Fan Favourite

Alexis Sanchez is currently one of the most desired players in the world due to his outstanding performances for Arsenal this year, and since he has stalled his renewal talks with the Gunners, it won’t be a surprise if dozens of teams pile up in order to take him away from North London. However, we think that Wenger and his guys need to do whatever it takes to keep him at the Emirates for a couple of extra years.

The Chilean has been on the top of the football elite since he left from Barcelona a couple of seasons ago, and he’s one of the main responsibles for this unbelievable run that the Gunners are having this year, not losing any of the last 18 matches they’ve played in all competitions.

So, it’s only natural that teams of the likes of Real Madrid (where he could take vengeance from Barcelona after the way they treated him),Bayern Munich (where he could play alongside his compatriot and buddy Arturo Vidal) and Juventus (to play on a league that he completely dominated before making the move to Barcelona) are keen to bring the prolific striker to their sides.

Over the past few days, the Italian side has reportedly become the frontrunner to acquire the services of the forwards, and it seems like there could be some big mutual interest in both, as Juventus promises to make Alexis their go – to guy and he’s currently the alleged main target for the Bianconeri for the summer transfer window.

However, his current boss firmly believes that a settlement between Sanchez and Arsenal is going to take place any given day, but they should be  totally concerned about this rumour being true, as they just can’t let Alexis go being the best player in the team right now.

The speedster is on the verge of an amazing season, where he has netted 8 goals to go along with 5 assists for the Gunners in all competitions, owning an average player rating of 7.8 according to whoscored.com, all this thanks to his constantly developing offensive game, forming a terrifying trio with Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil.

Alexis contract expires in 2018, and even if he doesn’t want to stay – which surely isn’t the case – Arsenal should never let him go if they actually want to make a run at Europe at some point, as they don’t have a suitable substitute to fill the void that the Chilean.

It’s always hard to tell how these things are finally going to end, but leaving Arsenal could be a very bad move for Sanchez. The forward has given a lot of good times to the North London institution, but he’s a self-centered guy who always feels like he deserves more than what he gets, and that egocentric kind of thought could be a great mistake for his career, as he has a bigger chance to win the fan following with Arsenal than with the Italian side, where he’ll be just another guy instead of being the focus of attention like he is at North London.
