Three Reasons Why Harry Kane To Manchester United Will Never Happen

Soon after talks of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford fizzled down last year, Manchester United turned their attention to Tottenham goal machine Harry Kane.

The 24-year-old English striker was setting the Premier League ablaze with his goals last season as he helped his side finish 2nd in the League table last season. With 29 goals in 30 games, Kane was the top goalscorer in the League last season also earning him the golden boot. It was also his second Golden Boot in a row having won it the season before that as well.

With over 100 goals already under his belt in just 170 appearances, it’s no surprise that the Red Devils have shown interest in the Englishman. They are reportedly preparing a £170m bid for the Tottenham goal machine. Mauricio Pochettino has clearly created a superstar in Harry Kane and isn’t just going to hand him over to any rival, not just Manchester United.

Let’s take a look at three reasons why Spurs will never sell Harry Kane to Manchester United.

New Contract

The 24-year-old recently signed a new 5-year-contract with the club which has also made him the club’s highest earner. The new contract will see Kane remain at the club until 2022. Spurs were bound to give the striker a new offer after two incredible seasons at the club. With no release clause in his contract, Spurs have all the control over the transfer fee.

Looking at Kane’s current form, Spurs might not consider any amount of money from Manchester United.

Competition

Manchester United already have a world-class striker in the form of Romelu Lukaku in their ranks, whom they brought this summer for a big amount. Jose Mourinho will have a really tough choice to make between the two as both are equally talented and are in the form of their lives.

Both players are the leading goal scorers for their sides and two of the best strikers in Europe at the moment. It simply doesn’t make sense for Kane to even consider a moving to Old Trafford with Lukaku already taking up the striking responsibilities.

Legendary Status

At this moment, Harry Kane has quickly acquired a bigger status than former Spurs star Gareth Bale did during his time at the club. While the Welshman jumping the ship on the first opportunity he got, he lost the chance to become a club legend. Had he stayed and helped his side push forward, maybe Spurs would have won many titles by now.

Harry Kane now has an opportunity to get his name in the history books by helping Spurs win the Premier League title and the Champions League. This would be the perfect way for Kane to repay the club that has shown tremendous faith in him over the years.

There is nothing quite like being the central figure in a club’s success and Harry Kane would sure love that opportunity.
