The football season is finally back and fans across the country will be rejoicing each week as the Premier League takes centre stage.
Supporters were kept busy with some international action during the past months but it was the usual excitement and drama of the transfer market that made the headlines.
There were plenty of fresh faces snapped up by clubs in England’s top-flight division, among those, sides who will be pushing for the title and others that will be aiming to simply enjoy a respectable campaign.
With that in mind, here are five top new talents to keep an eye out for as the season progresses!
Sepp van den Berg (Liverpool)
Liverpool are favoured to go unbeaten at the start of the campaign throughout the month of August in the football tips on Betfair page after their success last season.
If they are going to do so, then they will have to showcase the same defensive pedigree as they did throughout the whole of last term.
Virgil van Dijk will be the main man once again but his compatriot and new club signing Sepp van den Berg could have a role to play throughout proceedings, particularly if injuries are sustained during the course of the campaign.
He arrived from PEC Zwolle this summer and is only 17 years of age, so the future looks bright for the Anfield starlet.
Rodri (Manchester City)
Reigning champions Manchester City did what Sir Alex Ferguson always stated title holders needed to do and that’s strengthen while they’re already on top.
Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues snapped up defensive midfielder Rodri from Atletico Madrid and he looks to have settled in nicely based on his professional display during the Charity Shield win over Liverpool.
The Spain international looks to be in the same mould as compatriot Sergio Busquets and that will bode well for City’s upcoming season prospects.
Daniel James (Manchester United)
It’s been a very quiet summer of transfer activity by Manchester United’s usually high standards and it has undoubtedly caused frustration among fans, who are now perhaps fearing another worrying season ahead.
While no star names have arrived at Old Trafford, Daniel James could prove to be an unexpected boost.
With his incredible pace and skill down the flanks, the Welshman may provide exactly what the Red Devils were lacking a lot last season going forward.
Tanguy Ndombele (Tottenham Hotspur)
Tottenham supporters must have been shocked when they saw Mauricio Pochettino finally delve into the transfer market this summer, after two windows without any new acquisitions beforehand.
Tanguy Ndombele was captured from Lyon, and Spurs will have high hopes for the Frenchman this term.
The midfielder could well become a huge fan favourite over the early months of the season as Pochettino aims to finally land some silverware in London.
Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal)
Unai Emery has also bolstered his Arsenal squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign and his acquisition of a new forward star has got fans excited for what’s to come, at least in the attacking department.
The acquisition of Nicolas Pepe is one that has got Gunners supporters buzzing.
His attacking abilities will no doubt provide plenty of excitement at the Emirates and, providing they perform defensively, Arsenal could be a surprise package this term with Pep in their ranks alongside other promising forwards.
