After a cruel loss to Fenerbahce in Istanbul in the Europa League on the back of a stalemate against a newly relegated side at home, the pressure is mounting on Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford as he is now seen his side drop to the 8th place in the points table. They have a chance to get back to winning ways on their trip to the Liberty Stadium this weekend to face a Swansea side that has taken just a point from the 6 games in the league. Injuries have also started to have its effect on the squad leaving Mourinho with a relatively weak side for this game.

Here is the predicted lineup that the manager might field for this trip to Wales:

Team News:

The Red Devils were dealt a huge blow when world record signing Paul Pogba limped off in the European encounter against Fenerbahce. His injury is not too bad but he might not be risked for this game. Anthony Martial and Chris Smalling might be back in action while Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly remain out of the picture. Ander Herrera will miss this game serving a suspension.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

David de Gea:

The Spaniard has been their best player this season and will have to keep fighting with the players ahead of him lacking any kind of a confidence at the moment.

Matteo Darmian:

The Italian was brought back to the starting XI after the injury to Antonio Valencia and expected to keep his place in the side for this game.

Chris Smalling:

Coming back from an injury he picked up in the League Cup game against City, Smalling should provide more solidarity at the back for the Red Devils.

Daley Blind:

Though not at his best in the game in Istanbul, Blind is the best choice for Mourinho at the back and will keep his place in the side.

Luke Shaw:

The England international is the first choice left-back for the manager this season and will start this game against the Swans.

Morgan Schneiderlin:

The former Southampton man was taken off just after the break but the lack of personnel will see him start this game at the weekend.

Marouane Fellaini:

The Belgian was an unused substitute in the game at Istanbul and should be brought back into the squad for this weekend.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan:

After getting half an hour in the Europa League, Mourinho will want the Armenian to start this game and add some cutting edge to the United attack.

Juan Mata:

The Player of the Month for October for United, Mata was the first change for United in the Europa League and he should start this game against Swansea City.

Marcus Rashford:

Though Martial is back fit, the English youngster should keep his place in the squad after some hard-working performances.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic:

Though dropped to the bench at Istanbul, Zlatan is the talisman in this United side and should be brought back into the starting lineup for this game.
