Fantasy Premier League – 3 Differential captaincy options for gameweek 4

With another gameweek out of the way, people seem to be settling down on their Fantasy Premier League squads, with some certainties in there. The likes of Mohammed Salah, Raheem Sterling, anyone from the Liverpool backline and Teemu Pukki are almost certainly going to be a part of most sides.

This can often make your mini-league a little dull and prevent you from climbing the ranks overall. Leaving these heavily owned assets aside, here are 3 players you should probably consider getting into your teams, who can also be very good captaincy options for this week and the weeks to come.

Tammy Abraham – Forward (Chelsea – £7.0m)

With an ownership of only 5.6%, the young Englishman is heading into a very favourable list of fixtures starting with Sheffield United on the weekend at home. Chelsea have been creating the chances and Abraham put two away at Carrow Road after coming close in previous games.

Tammy Abraham

His embrace with his manager Frank Lampard after the game suggests that the new boss has put a lot of faith in him and believes that he can carry them forward in the coming games. Abraham took his two goals very nicely and that should allow him to kick on.

Sergio Aguero – Forward (Manchester City – £12.0m)

A Fantasy Premier League legend, the Argentinian has already scored 4 goals so far this season and with a very favourable fixture at home against Brighton and Gabriel Jesus nursing an injury, this might be the perfect week to captain him.

Sergio Aguero

Remarkably, he’s only been owned by 18.0% and could be considered a differential because of the high ownership of his teammates Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne.

Aguero’s home record is phenomenal and this is the kind of punt that could see your team sour through the ranks. City also have a very favourable run of fixtures so don’t be surprised if there’s a rush to haul him in your side.

Sebastien Haller – Forward (West Ham United – £7.4m)

He has dropped in value already and has a very low ownership of 3.6% but now that he’s off the mark with a brace last weekend, expect more of the same from this multifunctional forward. He had a fantastic season for Frankfurt last year and looks like he’s going to do more of the same for the Hammers.

He’s also heading into a bunch of favourable fixtures and despite Norwich being one of the most entertaining sides so far, they have shipped 8 goals in their 3 outings so far.

Haller would trouble the best of defences in the league and he’s likely to do the same to Norwich City. He would be the ultimate differential captain.
