Fantastic Winks – The Best And The Worst Rated Tottenham Hotspur Players Against West Ham United

Tottenham 3-2 West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane continued his excellent goal scoring form in London derbys as his late brace at the White Hart Lane this weekend crushed Slaven Bilic’s side from 1-0 to give his side all three points from this game. Michail Antonio gave the visitors a lead at the break but debutant Harry Winks equalised early in the second half. Manuel Lanzini converted a penalty to restore the lead but Harry Kane came along with a couple of goals in less than 5 minutes to take Tottenham Hotspur to the 5th place in the points table. Here are the player ratings for the Spurs for this game:

Here are the player ratings for the Spurs for this game:

Hugo Lloris (6):

Had very little to do as he could not have stopped the goals on the night as he stayed tall and strong whenever called upon on a comfortable night.

Kyle Walker (6):

Did most things well on the night but the English full-back was wasteful with his crossing that could have easily cost them a couple of points on the night.

Jan Vertonghen (6):

Was hardly tested at the back except on a couple of goal scoring occasions as he stuck to his task and kept West Ham honest on the night.

Manuel Lanzini converted from the spot to put West Ham back in front

Eric Dier (7):

Put in a solid display at the back that allowed Tottenham to launch attack after attack on the night and also came close to scoring with a header at the other end.

Danny Rose (6):

Picked up a needless yellow card that rules him out of the next match but otherwise, the full-back put in a decent performance contributing on both ends of the field.

Victor Wanyama (6):

Stuck to his task well in the middle of the field as he kept the West Ham threat to a bare minimal making the job of his back four a lot easier.

Mousa Dembele (5):

Struggled to have an impact on the game in the first half as he had to drop deep and help Wanyama out and was subbed off early in the second half.

Harry Winks (8):

Winks of Tottenham (L) is put under pressure from West Ham's Antonio

Played in more than one position on his debut as he put in an impressive performance, picking up a goal, dominating the midfield and creating chances for his side, all for a winning cause. A dream debut for the youngster.

Christian Eriksen (4):

A complete bystander at times during the game, Eriksen’s best contribution on the night was his goal that was ruled offside early in the game.

Vincent Janssen (5):

Put in an energetic performance up ahead but gave away a needless penalty at the back to spoil an otherwise decent outing for the Dutchman.

Harry Kane (7):

Though not at his best yet, the English striker was at the right place to find the equaliser and also tucked away the penalty with minimal fuzz to give his side all three points.

Subs:

Dele Alli (5):

Came into the game as a sub after being declared unfit to last 90 minutes and it showed in his game which was lethargic at best.

Heung Min-Son (7):

Added plenty of energy in the final third coming on as a sub and also won the penalty that was converted by Kane, putting in an effective performance on the night.

Kieran Tripper (5):

Came into the game too late to have any kind of an effect on the night.
