Fantastic Ramsey: The Best And The Worst Rated Arsenal Players From Their 2-0 Win Over Bournemouth

Arsenal moved level on points with Tottenham Hotspur after beating AFC Bournemouth 2-0 at the Vitality stadium on Sunday afternoon. After failing to win in their last four Premier League games, it was crucial that Arsenal came out winners against relegation-threatened Bournemouth. The Gunners started the game superbly with a goal from the in-form Mesut Ozil and just 88 seconds later, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored his first away goal in an Arsenal jersey. A second half Masterclass from Petr Cech meant Arsenal kept a clean sheet and grabbed all three points.

Petr Cech

An excellent performance by Cech, who made a crucial double save to deny Bournemouth right at the end. The former Chelsea star is justifying his purchase with every passing game, looks to be the missing piece that Wenger was after. 8/10

Hector Bellerin

It was his pace which prevented Bournemouth from going ahead in the first half. Didn’t shy away from venturing forward and whenever Arsenal needed a cross in the box, he was as reliable as ever. 7/10

Gabriel

Almost gifted Bournemouth a way back into the game with a poor error but got away with it. Did show signs of Improvement in the second half. Will be happy with a second clean sheet in a row. 6.5/10

Laurent Koscielny

Captain for the day, was superb at the back. Led by example with a couple of last ditch tackles and interceptions. He was very calm during the second half when most of the attacking was being done by Bournemouth. 7/10

Nacho Monreal

Given a tough time by Smith and was caught out of position a few times but did well to recover. Wasn’t his best performance for sure considering how excellent he has been this season. 6/10

Mathieu Flamini

A surprise start for Flamini, after Francis Coquelin, seemed to be fully fit in the last match. The game could have been very different had the referee decided to send Flamini off for a stupid two footed challenge in the first half. Needs to be more careful given the experience he has. 5/10

Aaron Ramsey

Man of the match this afternoon, was all over the pitch trying to create an opening. Played an important role in both the goals. Could have bagged a goal too late on. 9/10

Mesut Ozil

Scored an amazing goal to open the scoring and break the deadlock which has seen Arsenal go three matches without a goal. The impressive thing was that it came from his wrong foot. Other than that didn’t do a lot. 7/10

Chamberlain

Looked sluggish early on, misplacing a few passes, but slotted home Arsenal’s second to give them a comfortable lead. Which was also his first away goal in an Arsenal shirt. Should play with more freedom now. 8/10

Alexis Sanchez

Looked a little off pace, the Bournemouth players didn’t give him much space to operate in. Maybe one more game before he is back to full match sharpness. Was denied by the Bournemouth keeper in the second half. 7/10

Olivier Giroud

His drought continues, apart from the assist for the first goal, he didn’t contribute anything significant in the match. Looks like he could do with a rest. 6/10
