Reading welcomed Sunderland to the Madejski in a vital bottom of the table clash as Sunderland needed to win in order to have any chance of playing in the Championship next season.
Reading took the lead in the first half against the run of play when Lee Camp brought down Bodvarsson in the area to give Reading a penalty that was converted by Liam Kelly. Paddy McNair scored a screamer to give Sunderland an equaliser before Cattermole put the Black Cats ahead. However, in the 79th minute, Yann Kermogant pulled Reading level.
The game finished 2-2, meaning Sunderland are going to find it very hard to survive.
