Fantastic King, Outstanding Wilson – Here’s how the Bournemouth stars fared in the 4-0 win vs Watford

Bournemouth Player Ratings vs Watford: Here’s how the Cherries fared

Bournemouth thrashed Watford 4-0 at Vicarage Road on Saturday to continue their fine run in the Premier League.

David Brooks opened the scoring for Bournemouth with a rebound from a swift counter-attack before Josh King doubled the lead from the penalty spot after a second yellow card to Christian Kabasele.

The Cherries made it 3-0 just at the brink of half-time with King doubling his tally with a fantastic header past goalkeeper Ben Foster. And two minutes after the interval, Callum Wilson iced the cake with a casual flick over Foster and into the back of the net.

Bournemouth Player Ratings

Asmir Begovic – 6/10

Begovic was clattered into by Kabasele in the box, for which the Watford defender was shown the yellow card. However, the goalkeeper stayed strong and made a good save moments later.

Simon Francis – 7/10

Released a lovely ball for King, who raced into the box before being pulled back by Kabasele for the spot-kick. Fraser ventured forward more often after Watford were reduced to 10 men.

Steve Cook – 6/10

Cook had a comfortable afternoon as Watford rarely threatened after going a man down.

Nathan Ake – 6/10

Similar to his central defensive partner Cook, Ake also had a field day against the powerful Watford attackers.

Adam Smith – 6/10

Did well on the left and always moved forward to help his teammates in the attack. A lively performance from Smith.

Jefferson Lerma – 6/10

Lerma protected the back-four very well and snuffed out any danger that came Bournemouth’s way.

Lewis Cook – 6/10

Cook was such a classy operator of the ball. He recycled the ball well, broke up the play and always drove the team forward.

David Brooks – 8/10

Opened the scoring with a rebound to make it two goals in two games. Offered plenty of pace, vigour and creativity down the right.

Ryan Fraser – 8/10

Put a great cross into the box by Fraser to pick out Wilson for the third goal. Worked extremely hard and remained a threat on the counter.

Joshua King – 9/10

A brace he truly deserved after working tirelessly. King used his pace on the counter very well and was a constant menace for the opposition. Slotted home a calm penalty before doubling his tally with a looping header at the far post.

Callum Wilson – 9/10

Alongside King, Wilson ran riot too. Created plenty of chances for his teammates and was rewarded for his hard work with a goal just after the break.

Substitutes

Junior Stanislas – 5/10
