Fantastic De Gea And Mkhitaryan – The Best And The Worst Rated Manchester United Players vs Tottenham

De gea

Manchester United hosted Spurs today in a must-win match for both sides, as Jose Mourinho’s men are still way far behind the UEFA Champions League spots and Pochettino’s team are trying to regain confidence after an early exit from the same competition.

At the end of the game, the Portuguese boss managed to keep the 3 points at home in a very exciting matchup that could’ve gone either way, but that was sealed with an early stunner by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

David De Gea 8/10

The Spaniard showed one more time that he’s one of the best in the world with several key saves, especially on the final third of the match. De Gea’s ability keeps improving and it isn’t pretty to wonder what would’ve been of this team without him.

Antonio Valencia 7/10

The Veteran Ecuadorian had yet another excellent performance, especially on the defensive end of the pitch. However, that yellow card he earned granted him a suspension for the next match.

Phil Jones 8/10

Jones totally seemed like his old self today.

Marcos Rojo 7/10

The Argentinian showed one more time that he can be a more than reliable backup and that Jose Mourinho shouldn’t let him go during this upcoming transfer window as expected. Had a pretty nice game overall.

Matteo Darmian 8/10

Matteo was everywhere today and his contributions on offence were key to keep the 3 points at home today. And Jose Mourinho should strongly consider to keep him as well instead of letting him go as reports say he’s going to.

Ander Herrera 8/10

Herrera continued his breakout year with an awesome through ball that found Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who scored the lone goal of this matchup. The Spaniard had an excellent game on both offence and defence, and his confidence is just off the roof nowadays.

Michael Carrick 7/10

Carrick showed one more time that he’s the boss at Manchester United. Mourinho seems convinced that he needs to be on the field right now, as he’s the one that makes United actually have any clue on the field.

Paul Pogba 7/10

The Frenchman had a discrete game for most of the matchup, although his appearances were quite dangerous on offence. He could’ve recorded an assist at the late stages of the game, but he chose to keep the ball instead. Classic Pogba.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan 8/10

This newcomer is on a roll right now and he finally got his first Premier League goal. His confidence and groove seems to be back at last and there’s no stopping him right now. Ask Hugo Lloris, as he totally thrashed the net behind him.

Anthony Martial 6/10

Martial had another mediocre game. Most of the things that the Red Devils got on that side of the field were thanks to Darmian. He seems lost and needs to get back on track soon.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 5/10

The Swedish striker didn’t do anything either. But at least he didn’t get into any fights or polemic calls, so there’s that.
