Full Time: Arsenal 1-3 Manchester United
Arsenal’s 14-game winning run at the Emirates came to a crashing halt as Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United rode on a calamitous opening 10 minutes from the home side, to nick all three points with a 3-1 victory earlier in the day. Antonio Valencia opened the scoring before the 10th minute and Jesse Lingard added a second not long later to put the visitors 2 up in under 11 minutes.
The home side dominated the game from the 12th minute but only found a breakthrough in the second half, thanks to Alexandre Lacazette but Lingard quickly picked up his second goal to put the game beyond Wenger’s men. Arsenal will be happy with the way they came back after they were 2-0 down but with 15 shots on target all game, they ran into a wall in the shape of De Gea and failed to score more than a goal.

Manchester United Player Ratings
David de Gea (9)
The Spaniard made a couple of point-blank saves in the first-half and made a number of routine saves all game to keep his side in the lead, asserting his position as the best shot-stopper in the league at the moment. The saviour for United on a nervous night.
Victor Lindelof (6)
Did well against the likes of Sanchez but caught out of position on a couple of occasions, which could have cost his side some points.
Chris Smalling (6)
Won most things that were thrown at him in the air, as he stood tall and withered away most of the attacks the hosts put together all game.
Marcos Rojo (5)
Gave away needless fouls late in the game and was also constantly troubled by an Arsenal side that threw everyone into the attack in the second half.
Antonio Valencia (7)
Opened the scoring for his side and was willing to take the defenders on with every opportunity. Sat back well to see off the game when Arsenal piled the pressure on.
Nemanja Matic (6)
Made a couple of needless fouls that almost cost his side but was pro-active, winning the ball quickly and frustrating the home side.
Paul Pogba (5)
Laid on the goal for Valencia in the first half and Lingard in the second as he was effective on the counte. But he left his side playing with 10 men for more than 15 minutes, after seeing red for a horrible tackle on Bellerin. Will now miss the Manchester derby next week.
Ashley Young (7)
His energy and industry were very important for the Red Devils, who needed a runner to help counter the pressure the Gunners piled on late in the game.
Jesse Lingard (8)
Scored a goal each in either half to add to his heroics in mid-week and was a constant threat in the attack, as his direct approach was hard to handle for Arsenal.
Anthony Martial (7)
Set up the goal for Lingard in the first half and was a constant threat in the final third and was rightly unhappy when he was withdrawn in the second half.
Romelu Lukaku (4)
Failed to hold on to the ball when his side were under pressure and though he played a part in the build up to both of Lingard’s goals, he should have done a lot more, especially in crunch games like these.
Substitutes
Ander Herrera (6)
Added fresh legs to the midfield to harass the Arsenal players which worked like a charm for Mourinho.
Matteo Darmian (5)
Lucky not to give away a late penalty to Welbeck and needed Young to cover for him on more than one occasion.

Came on for Young in stoppage time.
