Reading Player Ratings vs Bristol City: Here’s how the Royals fared

Reading picked up an important fourth straight win against Bristol City at the Madejski Stadium. Reading won 3-2 on the night as Yakou Meite opened the scoring just 8 minutes from kickoff. Marlon Pack finished from close range to equalise but Liam Kelly then produced a superb strike to find the top corner.

Josh Brownhill then bundled home to square things up once again but it was Leandro Bacuna who ultimately scored the decisive goal to seal the win for Reading.

Was generally solid but produced a few scary moments. He made a couple of superb saves as well.

Found it hard to deal with Eliasson at the start and picked up a needless yellow card.

Had a few shaky moments which did cause a few nervy moments at the back. Overall, O’Shea did well at the back.

Liam Moore (5/10)

A solid performance and made a number of challenges at the back. He also made a number of headed clearances.

Tyler Blackett (6/10)

Good display from the youngster but had a couple of shaky moments.

 

Leandro Bacuna (8/10)

The matchwinner, who scored the most important goal of the game. He was a constant threat.

Liam Kelly (7/10)

Scored his first goal of the season with a pinpoint strike form 25 yards out. He also set up the opening goal.

Andy Rinomhota (6/10)

Showed a few nice touches and took one for the team stopping a quick counter which ultimately resulted in a yellow card.

Yakou Meite (7/10)

Made a strong start to the game and proved to be a handful for the City defence. He scored with a nice composed finish as well.

Did not have much to do going forward but did pick up the assist for Bacuna’s goal.

Made plenty of runs to hand the City defenders a tough time at the back and almost broke clear on a few occasions.

Didn’t do much on the night and had a mediocre game.

John Swift (5/10)

Played a few nice passes in the closing stages.
