Fabio Coentrao Could Return To Benfica

Fabio Coentrao signed for Madrid last summer for a massive  €30 million in a deal which will keep the player at the Bernabaeu until 2017. Coentrão made his Real Madrid debut in a pre-season friendly against LA Galaxy and provided and assist on the same day. The Portuguese International made his full league debut against his former team  Real Zaragoza ending the season with a total 33 appearances and 2 assists.

And according to sources Real coach Jose Mourinho has lost confidence in Coentrao and he faces a year in the stands unless he makes a move away. This can mean the player could return to Benfica as his former club has always been interested in the fullback. And with Madrid chasing Benfica midfielder Axel Witsel, a swap deal may very well be on the cards.
