Predicted Liverpool line-up to face West Ham United in the Premier League

Liverpool fans have had a summer of their dreams. They would be over the moon as Liverpool have signed almost all of their targets and improved their squad considerably. They have had the best transfer window in years and it could be seen in the pre-season games.

Klopp’s men looked like they started off from where they left last campaign and the German manager will want to make sure that Liverpool don’t falter at home against West Ham United.

Probable Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Alisson Becker (GK)

The world-class Brazilian should go straight into the starting XI. He will look forward to carrying his impressive Roma form here and impress the Kop on his debut.

Alisson

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The young English international was one of the first names on the Liverpool teamsheet in the second half last season. He was involved in just 1 match for England in the summer and should be relatively fresh for the new campaign.

Virgil Van Dijk (CB)

The Dutchman, who is the most expensive defender in the world, already showed his class and maturity in the latter part of the campaign where he stabled a leaky Liverpool defence. He will continue to do the same this season.

Joe Gomez (CB)

With Joel Matip injured and Dejan Lovren coming in late after his World Cup final appearance, youngster Joe Gomez should partner Van Dijk in central defence.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

Roberston was one of the players of the season for Liverpool as he burst onto the scene in January. His impressive performances gained a lot of plaudits and he will look forward to doing the same this season.

Fabinho (CDM)

The former Monaco man has settled well into the Liverpool side. But this is the Premier League and it will be a test of character and skill.

Naby Keita

Naby Keita (RCM)

Keita finally arrived at Anfield this season and he has impressed everyone with his box-to-box abilities. He has the legs to carry the ball from midfield and also the vision to find the perfect pass to find the attackers.

Georginio Wijnaldum (LCM)

Wijnaldum rounded off his good pre-season form by scoring against Napoli. He is the man to keep the ball moving in the midfield.

Sadio Mane (LW)

The Senegalese attacker had an excellent season last time around where he scored 10 times in the Premier League. He will look to continue the same and combine with Firmino and Salah.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah (RW)

The Egyptian king had a World Cup to forget where his country got knocked out in the group stages. But this could be a blessing in disguise for Liverpool as he has regained his fitness. Expectations are much higher for the new season and there is no reason why Salah can’t deliver the goods again.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

The Brazilian completes the holy trinity of Liverpool’s attack. His chemistry with Salah and Mane is out of this world and the trio will look to cut open West Ham’s defence at will, like they did in the same fixture last season.
