Everton opinion: Should the Toffees make a move for Lucas Ocampos?
Everton are looking for reinforcements and Italian news outlet Calciomercato has reported that the Toffees are keen on a move for Marseille star Lucas Ocampos.
The 24-year-old has played all over the world, with spells at River Plate, Monaco, Genoa and AC Milan over the course of his career.
This season alone, the 24-year-old has produced 12 goals in all competitions for Marseille and given the club’s below-par season, it’s a bit of a surprise. Only Florian Thauvin has been more impressive.
The Toffees’ front-line is in dire shape. They’ve depended heavily on Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison this season. They’ve stepped up, creating and scoring a combined total of 33 goals. That accounts for 66% of the goals that the Toffees have scored so far this season.

Seeking a move for Lucas Ocampos will only help the club. While he isn’t the most prolific goalscorer, the 24-year-old tends to find the net at the most opportune moments.
Ocampos scored and assisted in a 2-2 draw against Rennais, opened the scoring against Dijon after a lacklustre 45 minutes and proved to be a lethal presence against Angers.
He’s the kind of presence that Everton needs. It’s a move that they need to make, especially given Bernard and Theo Walcott’s struggles this season. Lucas Ocampos cannot be the only signing though.

Conclusion
Lucas Ocampos isn’t a world-class superstar, but the 24-year-old is certainly fits the profile that Everton need in order to move forward. Alongside Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson and a goalscoring striker, they can wreak havoc upon teams.
