Predicted Derby County line-up to face Ipswich Town in the Championship

Derby County will be desperate to bounce back from the disappointing defeat at Millwall when they host Ipswich Town on Tuesday.

Goals from Jake Cooper and Shaun Williams put Millwall 2-0 up at the break. Derby substitute David Nugent pulled one back in the second half but it was not enough to save Frank Lampard’s side from a 2-1 defeat at The Den.

On Tuesday, the Rams will be aiming for a positive result against Ipswich, with Lampard seeking a first home win as a manager.

Team news

A groin problem kept Harry Wilson out of the game at Millwall, while Tom Huddlestone and Curtis Davies won’t be a part of the squad to face Ipswich.

Scott Malone was forced off at half-time with a muscle injury against Millwall and will miss Tuesday’s game.

Probable Derby County XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Frank Lampard

Scott Carson (GK)

Carson is Derby’s undisputed No.1 and should start against Ipswich on Tuesday.

Jayden Bogle (RB)

The youngster did well in the last game and despite Derby tasting defeat, Bogle must get another shot.

Richard Keogh

Richard Keogh (CB)

A permanent fixture in the Derby XI, Keogh needs to start producing commanding displays at the back.

Fikayo Tomori (CB)

Tomori had a game to forget at Millwall and should look to redeem himself in front of the home support when Ipswich visits on Tuesday.

Max Lowe (LB)

With Malone injured, Lowe could be called back into the starting XI. Lowe is a promising young left-back who can excel at the highest level provided he keeps himself fit.

George Evans (CDM)

Evans brings a calming influence to the midfield and gives stability to the team. His presence in the midfield is a must.

Mason Mount (LCM)

Mount has been impressive since joining the Rams and will be hoping to continue his good form as the season progresses.

Craig Bryson (RCM)

Bryson possesses a terrific engine, works equally hard in defence as well as in the attack. He should start the game as a part of the midfield trio against Ipswich.

Tom Lawrence (LW)

Lawrence is an attacking weapon for Lampard. The Chelsea legend must look to get the best out of the Welshman.

Florian Jozefzoon (RW)

Jozefzoon needs to bring more dynamism to Derby’s attack. He is a pace merchant who has the ability to rip apart Championship defences with his skills and directness.

Martyn Waghorn (ST)

Waghorn was unlucky to have been adjudged offside when he scored against Millwall but he will be eager to stamp his authority at Pride Park when Derby host Ipswich.
