Eriksen On The Right, Winks Out – Predicted 3-4-3 Tottenham Line-up To Face Leicester City

Predicted Tottenham Line-up To Face Leicester City In The Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur have lost some ground on the league leaders as they were held to a draw at home by West Brom at the weekend. Mauricio Pochettino’s men will face an even tougher task just days later, when his side travel to the King Power, to take on a Leicester City side that has proven hard to beat.

The Foxes drew with West Ham in the last round but playing at home, they are expected to make a meal of this game and will surely test the visitors. Spurs beat Leicester 6-1 in the same fixture last season and will hope for something similar.

Team News

Victor Wanyama and Toby Alderweireld remain unavailable yet again for Pochettino, adding to his troubles. Harry Winks picked up a niggle in the last game and has a late fitness test to clear.

Here’s how Tottenham might line up against Leicester:

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

GK – Hugo Lloris

The French ace had a comfortable outing against West Brom and will hope to have a similar time against the Foxes.

CB – Eric Dier

With Alderweireld out injured, Dier should start on the right-hand side of the backline for Spurs in this game.

Davinson Sanchez

CB – Davinson Sanchez

The youngster needs to find some consistency at the back and this will be a good game for him to find some confidence.

CB – Jan Vertonghen

Up against the likes of Vardy and Mahrez, Vertonghen will have his work cut out, starting as the senior defender in the backline for his side.

RWB – Serge Aurier

Though Trippier has been effective, this game will give Pochettino a chance to rest him and use Aurier on the flank to add some flair to the attack.

CM – Moussa Sissoko

With Winks still not completely fit, Sissoko, who has been decent this season, should start as a part of the midfield for his side.

Mousa Dembele

CM – Mousa Dembele

The Belgian midfielder came off the bench and showed what his side were missing in the first-half of the previous game and should be pushed back into the starting XI once again.

LWB – Ben Davies

With Rose’s future at the club still in doubt, Ben Davies should continue to start as a wing-back on the left wing.

RW – Christian Eriksen

The Danish international has been misfiring recently and will have to step up his game for his side to take anything from this clash.

Harry Kane

LW – Dele Alli

The English playmaker has not been at his best this season and will not find it easy against a solid Leicester backline.

ST – Harry Kane

Though he scored a goal against West Brom, Kane has struggled in the last few games and will have to be watched closely by the likes of Morgan and Maguire in this crunch clash.
