Dyche to make no changes – Predicted 4-4-2 Burnley line-up to face Chelsea

Predicted Burnley Line-up To Face Chelsea In The Premier League

Burnley now have five wins on the trot and they are playing incredibly well at the moment. Their tactics are working perfectly and they look set to be in Europe next year.

This will be a tight game as they come up against a Chelsea team who are on an interesting run of form – they’re not playing badly but seem to deliberately disadvantage themselves in games, only to have to work twice as hard to come back and win them. So this should be an exciting game at Turf Moor.

Probable Burnley XI

Manager: Sean Dyche

Formation: 442

Nick Pope (GK)

Pope has had a fantastic season in goal for Burnley and has made it easy to forget how good Tom Heaton was last season, which is no mean feat. Will surely have a chance of being England’s No.1 keeper this summer.

Stephen Ward (LB)

The left-back had an excellent game against Leicester and is in a purple patch of form. He is an extremely good defender who always looks solid.

James Tarkowski (CB)

It’s no surprise that Burnley players are being called up to the England squad left, right and centre, and one that deserves it more than anyone is James Tarkowski. He’s been fantastic in the heart of the defence for Burnley all season.

Nick Pope

Kevin Long (CB)

Long always looks fantastic in the air, both offensively and defensively. Grabbed a goal against Leicester, whilst also keeping Vardy quiet for most of the game.

Matthew Lowton (RB)

One of Burnley’s best qualities is the number of crosses they get into the box and Lowton is a big part of this. Had an excellent game against Leicester and will be looking to continue this form.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson (LM)

Has been excellent out on the left-hand side for Burnley all season and has 2 goals and 7 assists to show for it, including one in his previous game. He is an excellent crosser of the ball.

Ashley Westwood (CM)

Westwood was an odd signing for Burnley in the summer but he has gone on to prove to be a shrewd piece of business from Sean Dyche, sitting in central midfield and tackling excellently all season.

Jack Cork (CM)

Another excellent Sean Dyche signing from Swansea City last summer. He stays in the middle and passes the ball excellently. Keeps this Burnley side ticking.

Ashley Barnes

Aaron Lennon (LM)

Lennon has been fantastic since joining Burnley and it is great to see him back. He is a constant threat, swinging balls into the box.

Ashley Barnes (ST)

A strong and powerful striker and fits Burnley’s playing style perfectly. He has 7 goals this season and most of those have come off the bench. Always in the right place at the right time to put his head on the ball.

Chris Wood (ST)

Wood proved that he could do it in the Championship last season for Leeds and has now proved that he can do it in the Premier League for Burnley. He fits their style well and is a great header of the ball.
