Dyche To Make 2 Changes – Predicted 4-4-1-1 Burnley Line-Up To Face Brighton & Hove Albion

Predicted Burnley Line-up To Face Brighton & Hove Albion In The Premier League

Burnley will look to continue on their winning ways, when they take on Chris Hughton’s Brighton & Hove Albion, at the AmEx Stadium on Saturday.

Sean Dyche’s Clarets have had a dream campaign so far, having recently managed to break into the top four in the Premier League, following their 1-0 win over Stoke City during the midweek. They eventually moved down to 6th following Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool’s results on Wednesday, but they will be delighted with the start they have had to the season.

The manager will be hoping that his team continues to be there in the table by collecting another three points this weekend, against the Seagulls.

Team News

Summer signing Jon Walters remains absent for the Lancashire based outfit, along with club captain Tom Heaton and midfielder Dean Marney. Left-back Stephen Ward is a major doubt after picking up an injury during the win over Stoke, while right-back Matthew Lowton is likely to remain sidelined as well. Ben Mee is also a doubt after missing out on the past two games, whereas Robbie Brady is set for a lengthy layoff.

Here’s how Burnley might take the field against Brighton on Saturday:

Manager: Sean Dyche

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Nick Pope (GK)

8 clean sheets and 8 goals conceded in 14 Premier League games is quite an impressive record for the Englishman. Will look to add another shut-out on Saturday.

Phil Bardsley (RB)

With Matthew Lowton not fit yet, the former Stoke City man has received his chances in the first-team and he has been solid. Should start once again at right-back.

James Tarkowski (CB)

The 25-year old has been solid as a rock for the Clarets this season. Irremovable from the starting line-up.

Charlie Taylor

Kevin Long (CB)

With Ben Mee a doubt for the game due to a knee injury, Kevin Long could make his 3rd league appearance of the season.

Charlie Taylor (LB)

The former Leeds United man should make his first Premier League start of the season, since joining the Clarets this summer.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson (RW)

The Iceland international has been a constant presence in the starting XI for the Clarets and has been a fairly consistent performer. Should start on the right wing on Saturday.

Steven Defour (CM)

The Belgian midfielder is another permanent fixture in the playing line-up for Burnley. Unlikely that Dyche would change that for Saturday’s game.

Jack Cork (CM)

The recently-capped England international has been very impressive since his summer move to the Turf Moor. Should partner Defour in the middle of the park.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson

Scott Arfield (LW)

With Robbie Brady out, Canadian winger Scott Arfield should keep his place on the left flank for the clash against the Seagulls.

Jeff Hendrick (SS)

The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international should continue to operate in behind the main striker. Will want to add to his tally of 2 goals and one assist.

Ashley Barnes (ST)

Having scored the late winner against the Potters on Tuesday, Ashley Barnes could start against the Seagulls, in place of Chris Wood.
