Drop Suarez And Bale, Stick To Van Persie And Michu – Fantasy Premier League Gameweek – 16 Preview

Gameweek 16 has some of the most important matches of the season. The Manchester derby takes place this week, with City looking to eliminate the difference between the two teams and United hoping to make a 6 points difference. Everton plays Tottenham in a high profile match with both the teams banking on some quality players. Arsenal also plays West Brom with both the teams hoping to regain some form and jump few places up the table. Chelsea, after securing their first win in the Benitez era, defeating Nordsjaelland with a convincing 6-1 scoreline, would be hoping to get another win against a weak Sunderland team. This matches would provide the Fantasy Premier League managers with some exciting options and points scoring opportunities. The main features of this week are as follows.

Suarez and Bale out for game week 16, choose wisely

Bale, Suarez out of play- One of the fact that would surely trouble the Fantasy Premier League managers would be the absence of Bale and Suarez, two in-form players, on whom their teams depended much. Gareth Bale is out with a hamstring injury and is expected to stay out for a couple of weeks. This would mean Tottenham would be up against Arsenal without their most formidable player quite much of a handicap for them. Only one section of people who would be happy with the absence of Bale are the owners of Defoe and Lennon. Bale’s disappearance would mean additional chance for them to play a frontline role and score for their team. Suarez, on the other hand, is suspended till 15th of December, providing a blow to both his team and his owners at Fantasy Premier League. His absence would also mean a reduced chance for Sterling and Jose Enrique to score as the formation of this Liverpool side was around Suarez.

Michu, Fellaini among most transferred in- After last week’s stunning performance, both Michu and Felllaini are among the most transferred-in players with they being added into 157,776 and 98,642 teams respectively till now. As a reason for this, their prices have swelled up astonishingly, with more and more Fantasy Premier League managers wanting them for their team. The fixture of both the players are pretty moderate, but they have proven to be fixture proof players, scoring in the most difficult of situations, helping both their team and their owners. Thus it is our earnest suggestion to all the Fantasy Premier League managers: if you still do not have them in your team, go get them before they absolutely out of your budget.

Stoke plays Villa, Chelsea looking for a win- Stoke City, with their astounding defensive record behind them, play another weak side, Aston Villa. So it is pretty much expected of them to keep another clean sheet and provide some important points for their owners. Meanwhile Chelsea, fresh from their win in the Champions League, would be hoping for their first win under Benitez against Sunderland. Mata, who also scored in the previous match, Oscar and Torres, who scored two goals in the Champions League match are all thriving to get back into form and make important contributions for their team. But until and unless they prove to be of much value in the English Premier League, it would be wiser to keep them out of calculations for the time being.

City and United face each other- Manchester United and City face each other in a clash of titans with both the teams are looking for the top spot in the league, making the match even more interesting. United would be banking on their strike force of Rooney and Van Persie, the same duo that fired last week to net the ball four times against Reading. City, probably, has the most varied strike force in the league with Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli all fit to play. They would be trying to find the lapses in the United defense which conceded thrice against Reading the previous week. City also has the a very formidable midfield with Silva and Yaya Toure. These players thus would be a treat to watch in the coming week and would hold the key to differentiate between an average game-week and a brilliant game-week for the Fantasy Premier League managers.

Sunderland and Reading have a double gameweek- Both Sunderland and Reading have double gameweek this week. Sunderland plays Chelsea and Reading and Reading plays Southampton and Sunderland. This provides ample scope to the Fantasy Premier League managers to score double points from a single player and jump in the rankings. But one should take care not to include too much players form these teams and disturb the team balance.
