Dream Manchester United Starting XI After January Window Featuring Liverpool Midfielder And Danny Rose

Dream Manchester United XI That Could Possibly Take Shape After The Winter Window

Manchester United are currently flying high after beating Arsenal in a high-octane encounter at the Emirates stadium last weekend but they have to face Manchester City next. Jose Mourinho’s men have shown encouraging signs for the better half of the season so far but there are areas where they could use reinforcements to solidify their chances of a title challenge further.

The January window will be the perfect opportunity to do just that. In fact, the Red Devils have already been linked with Danny Rose and Emre Can – two players that could truly revamp United’s weaker areas. Here is the combined XI featuring their potential new arrivals.

Manchester United XI In A 4-2-3-1 Featuring Danny Rose And Emre Can

David De Gea (GK)

After his spectacular saves against Arsenal, there seem to be no signs that suggest the Spaniard is going anywhere. Moreover, at this rate, it does seem like United cannot be as strong at the back without De Gea, making him a mainstay for the team.

Antonio Valencia (RB)

Valencia continues to be a rock at the back. He defends brilliantly while also providing ample support to the attack while surging forward.

Marcos Rojo (CB)

Rojo is back and the Red Devils love him. He proved what he is capable of against the Gunners, making him a shoo-in for this spot.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

The former Benfica player has shown plenty of encouraging signs as well and with a little more time, Lindelof could truly cement his presence at the back.

Danny Rose (LB)

Although Rose was sidelined for quite some time at Spurs due to an injury, he did make quite a comeback which just about proves his efficiency. The player is quite talented and knows how to fight for his spot, making him quite a solid target. However, this could limit Ashley Young’s time on the field.

Nemanja Matic (DM)

Often touted United’s most influential player in the middle, Matic has slotted well into his life at Old Trafford. If the Red Devils are to continue their new-found success, they need Matic in the squad.

Emre Can (DM)

Having Can in the squad could help Mourinho field a 4-2-3-1 more confidently as opposed to a 4-3-3. For the first system to work more effectively, the manager needs a player who is stronger than Ander Herrera and Can does seem like a viable option.

Anthony Martial (LW)

Martial continues to go from strength-to-strength at United and he can truly impact the United attack at all times.

Paul Pogba (CAM)

Without Pogba, United’s attack looks blunt. He has justified his lofty price tag and they need him in the team.

Jesse Lingard (RW)

Lingard continues to be a controversial figure among the United fans in the sense that they are divided on whether or not he is a strong player. However, his recent performances have truly solidified his chances of making it into this XI.

Romelu Lukaku/Zlatan Ibrahimovic (CF)

At this point, it is tough to choose just one out of the duo. Lukaku has not been at his best yet while Ibrahimovic is yet to play after recovering from his injury so it remains to be seen how effective he can be.
