Dream Man United line-up featuring Sancho and Eriksen looks terrifying

According to The Mirror, Manchester United are interested in signing Jadon Sancho and Christian Eriksen in January, which could make them a world-class team if they manage to do so.

In Sancho’s case, United believe they are in pole position to sign the winger in January despite interest from local rivals Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, according to the report.

The Englishman has been successful ever since he moved to Germany with Borussia Dortmund in 2017. In his two years with Dortmund, Sancho has made 76 appearances for the first-team and in the process, he has scored 24 goals and provided 34 assists.

The teenager has been exceptional and at a very young age, he has expressed his qualities at the highest level. He has single-handedly won many games for Borussia Dortmund on many occasions and is considered to be on the hottest prospects in Europe.

Though he had some disciplinary problems at the start of this season, according to The Mirror, Sancho has already scored 7 goals and assisted 8 times in 12 Bundesliga games so far.

Veteran Christian Eriksen is another name popping out of Manchester United’s transfer list for January. His contract with Tottenham is set to expire at the end of this season and according to The Mirror, Eriksen wants to go to Spain.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are likely to sell him in January and should they wait till he sees off his contract, they may have to let him leave for nothing.

The Dane has proved to be the driving force in the middle of the park for Tottenham. He was one of the undroppable names in Tottenham’s line-up under Pochettino. However, he seems to be playing fewer games this season and his time at North London looks to be nearing the end.

Jose Mourinho has mostly used Eriksen as a substitute since taking charge of Tottenham. And with United keen on him, Old Trafford looks to be a possible destination for Eriksen in January.

The 27-year-old has got immense experience at the highest level after making 295 appearances for the Lilywhites. He has been the focal point of their attack under Pochettino and his performance in the run to the Champions League final last year has been the highlight of his career.

The attacking midfielder has 95 international caps to his name in his career so far. And with a few years left in him before he reaches the twilight of his career, Eriksen would be effective for any side he might play for.

Verdict

In securing the services of Sancho and Eriksen, Manchester United can sort out the difficulties they have in creating chances and making meaningful attacks. Sancho’s pace and skill-set would be perfect for him to gel with the other youngsters in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.

At the same time, Eriksen’s experience and intelligence would make him their creative hub as he has always been. Therefore, United must try to strike a deal for both the exceptional players in their respective position.

If United succeed in luring Sancho and Eriksen to Old Trafford, this dream line-up could be the best possible way for Solskjaer and the Red Devils to challenge any team across Europe in all competitions.
