Next Premier League season is going to be epic, not only because of the world class players coming to England but also the super managers that are going to take charge this summer. The likes of Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Arsene Wenger and Jurgen Klopp will go head to head in their pursuit to win, what will be a very special season. Along with the title chase, there will be so many subplots that fans won’t have a chance to breathe easy at any point.
Klopp will take charge of his first full season at Anfield after he was drafted in midway last season following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers. He will be tasked to take Liverpool back amongst the elites of Europe, especially with no European commitments next season, his focus will be fully on securing a top-four finish. He came in with huge expectation surrounding him, its time he delivered success to the Liverpool fans.
Liverpool have a host of talented players on their pay roll right now but there is still place for that one or two marquee signings. Sometimes last season, they looked confused when things weren’t going there way, they need a match winner right now, a player who can change the course of the game on his own and take Liverpool forward. Here we see the dream attacking line up that could push Liverpool towards the title next season.
Left Wing: Philippe Coutinho
Coutinho is the closest Liverpool have come to having a match winner, since the departure of Saurez and Gerrard. He produced many brilliant and magical moments last season but his effort wasn’t enough to drag the Reds into the top four spot. He has been linked with many clubs this summer but the presence of Klopp might persuade him to stay one more season before he decides to seek a new challenge somewhere else.
Attacking Midfielder: Mario Gotze
A former Klopp player from his time at Dortmund, Gotze will give Liverpool that extra bit of quality that they missed when things weren’t going for them. His signing will instantly raise the mood around Anfield and could prove to be the difference between being Champions and also rans. The 23 year old is a world class player and can be a Red for not that big a price. However there is still no clarity regarding his future, given he stated his desire to stay in Munich and compete for his place in the team under new boss Carlo Ancellotti.
Right Wing: Roberto Firmino
Firmino started his tenure at Liverpool quite slowly but soon got into the flow and was magnificent from there on. The second season will be very crucial as the expectation will be high from the fans and if Liverpool are going to challenge for the top four, they need the Brazilian firing on all cylinders. A midfield trio of Firmino, Coutinho and Gotze, will be capable of shredding an defense into pieces, if the three click together.
Striker: Daniel Sturridge
Liverpool have been so unlucky with Sturridge, that you wouldn’t fault them for checking out other options to replace him. However the English player is highly talent and if fit, he is the best striker Liverpool have got by far. With such creative talent behind him, he will be spoilt for service. His task will only be to apply the finishing touches, something he has done very well over the past few season.
