Amidst furious speculation, the agent of out of job manager Jose Mourinho, Jorge Mendes has insisted that no deal has been struck between his client and Manchester United. The “Super Agent” who handles the top notch of the footballing world told that there has been no “Official proposal” from Manchester United for “The Special One”.
“There is nothing,” the Portuguese told Globo Esporte. We don’t know what will happen in the future, but now there is no agreement.
“There isn’t an official proposal either, that’s not true.”
Mourinho was sacked on the account of Chelsea’s horrendous performance in the first half of the season that currently leaves them in the 15th spot, just 3 points away from relegation and 11 points adrift of the 4th spot. While Manchester United have not been in great form themselves, they still sit at a respectable 5th spot, just 3 points away from 3rd placed cross town rivals Manchester City.
It remains to be seen if United are ready to cut short the tenure of Louis Van Gaal at the club and subsequently land Mourinho.
The managerial musical chair just gets more interesting by the day.
