Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has got things going his way once again, with former Barcelona man Victor Valdes set to leave Old Trafford.
According to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo’s Thursday edition, the British and Turkish media had confirmed that a deal has been agreed to and a move would be completed soon. The report further added that the Spanish international will fly to Turkey soon to undergo a medical and do the necessary paperwork to finalize his move to Besiktas.
Things have not worked out well between Valdes and the Red Devils, though the keeper initially arrived from a knee injury and was signed as a free agent, as a potential replacement for the departing David de Gea.
A fall out with Van Gaal has now put an end to his career with the Premier League giants after he was forced to train with the U-21 side in recent weeks.
Interestingly, Turkey’s Fanatik further added that prior to the agreement, Valdes has a serious ‘dead leg’ problem, though the medical will finally decide his fate.
