Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain’s defensive midfield superstar Thiago Motta is all set to have contract talks with the club, as he seeks to resolve his future with them and remain in France.
The Daily Express had reported that Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool were keeping tabs on his situation in France, along with former La Liga champions Atletico Madrid and Serie A outfit Inter Milan.
The 32-year-old former Barcelona star is quite experienced and can much-needed quality to any side, in spite of his age. Motta would surely make a fine short-term purchase for many top European giants this summer if he does end up moving away from Paris.
Still, if the Italian attacker does end up staying with PSG, he will be ignoring interest from the Premier League outfits, who can provide him a chance to play in the top league in the continent. It seems that Motta might decide to remain where he is, as he looks for an extension to his current contract, which expires in a year.
