Payet had been linked with a move to Arsenal even before he made the move to England. Arsene Wenger is clearly a fan of his compatriot and could look to make a move for the unsettled Hammers man. Payet has also spoken of his admiration for The Gunners. Arsenal have been missing that spark off late, due to the poor form of Ozil and Payet could be just what they need to re-enter the title race.
The chance to work along with Arsene Wenger and many other player compatriots might tempt Payet to make the move within town to Arsenal. Payet could be an upgrade on Iwobi, who has certainly impressed since breaking into the team, but it is evident that he will need more time to get to his best.
