Despite injury this defender could make his way to Chelsea

Antonio Rudiger

suffered ACL(Anterior Cruciate Ligament) injury just before Euro 2016 that saw the Roma player miss out on the tournament.

He is expected to be out of action on the field for up to six months but could still be active in the transfer market. Before his injury Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for the player who spent last season on loan at Roma from Stuttgart. Roma has recently made the deal permanent but may look to make quick money by selling him to Chelsea for a profit.

Antonio Conte is looking for reinforcement for Chelsea defense and may yet decide to sign Rudiger if Roma are willing to quote a reasonable price. Last season Rudiger madde 30 appearances for AS Roma and has impressed Conte. The surprising part is that seemingly Rudiger’s value in the market has increased despite his injury and Chelsea may have to pay north of  €9 million that Roma paid to Stuttgart.
