Celtic will face off against Rosenborg BK in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round phase at the Parkhead on Wednesday night.
The Hoops eased past Armenian outfit Alashkert in the first round, beating them 6-0 on aggregate over two legs. And manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that his team are able to carry forward the momentum into the upcoming game against the Norwegian club, taking a step further towards progression to the next round.
Ahead of the clash at the Celtic Park, let’s take a look at how the Scottish champions might line up.
The veteran Scottish goalkeeper is the preferred choice between the sticks ahead of Scott Bain. That is unlikely to change on Wednesday.
After a stuttering start to life with the champions, the centre-back has shown signs of improvement this time out. Will be hoping to build on it against Rosenborg.
The 20-year-old Norwegian has become an integral part of the Hoops’ backline over the course of the previous season and is a definite starter.
With Jozo Simunovic suspended and Marvin Compper out injured, Kieran Tierney is likely to be moved to the left-sided centre-half role for the midweek encounter.
The Scottish international has begun the new season in fine form and will look to inflict some serious damage to the visitors, from the right flank.
In the heart of the park, club captain Scott Brown should feature from the get-go and look to shield his back-four, with tenacity.
The Frenchman has grown into an important player for the Hoops since joining the club last summer. Should start alongside the captain.
The third midfield slot for the reigning Scottish champions is likely to be taken up by Callum McGregor. The Scotsman will look to provide the creative presence in the middle.
The 20-year-old has impressed each time he has been given a chance by Rodgers. With Tierney moving into the centre-back role, Miller is likely to step in as the left wing-back.
With Moussa Dembele out injured, Sinclair should start up front alongside Odsonne Edouard.

Edouard has struck up an exciting partnership with compatriot Dembele and will be looking to pose some problems to the visiting defence.
