Defender Awaiting Clearance to Play for Manchester United

It is sad to see that Manchester United defender Regan Poole is still not able to play for the Premier League giants and is awaiting an international clearance, though it already has been more than a month since he signed for them. The 17-year-old superstar had joined the Red Devils from League Two outfit Newport County on transfer deadline day.

He was said to be a really hot prospect for the future, though is yet to appear in a competitive match for the club’s academy side, as there is still some paperwork being processed, as per reports from the Daily Mirror.

United were keeping tabs on the youngster since his debut back in September 2014 and made a late decision to add him to their squad. Further, as per ex-Newport boss Terry Butcher, the club finalized the deal with barely a minute to spare.

He told the South Wales Argus, “When Manchester United come calling, out of the blue really, and they match the valuation and offer us money and incentives as well then you’ve got to let the player talk to the club and see if they can do a deal, which they’ve done. I think it was one minute to six the deal was done and we wish him good luck. He’s a smashing boy with a great future ahead of him at a fantastic club.”
