Deal Done: Manchester United’s Spanish Goalie Set to Leave Old Trafford

As per reports now from The Times, axed Manchester United goalie Victor Valdes has completed a deal to move to Besiktas this summer. The former Barcelona star signed for the Red Devils in 2015 and was just given two appearances for the Premier League giants by manager Louis van Gaal. The Spanish international left the Nou Camp after his contract expired with the Catalan club in 2014.

Further, bosses in Istanbul have claimed that a deal has been completed to take the former Barca keeper away from Old Trafford, after being forced to play and train with United’s reserves by the Dutch boss.

The Turkish outfit have offered him a two-year deal to sign for them, with an option of a third as well. Valdes made 387 appearances for the reigning champions of Europe, since making his debut for them in 2002. The Spaniard has also won a large number of trophies in Spain and was initially signed as a replacement for the departing David de Gea, who was wanted by La Liga outfit Real Madrid.
