According to Le10 Sport, Arsene Wenger had been keen on signing the player to bolster the Gunner’s midfield options. However, this news is set to give the Frenchman a strong blow.

The Gunners are on the market for a midfielder with the likes of Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini set to leave the club at the end of the season, thus they need to strengthen their midfielder ahead of the start of next season.
