Chelsea Transfer Updates
According to reports, agent of Galatasaray defender Alex Telles has given the champions of England Chelsea a boost in their chase for the Brazilian left-back, by stating that his client has an Italian passport. The defender was wanted by the Blues this summer, as manager Jose Mourino is keen on signing a replacement for Filipe Luis, who has returned back to former La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
Further, it was reported by Calciomercato that Fernando Otto made spoke about the offers made by various clubs in order to acquire the 22-year-old star’s services in the present transfer window. Otto also added that if a move fails to materialize Telles will still be happy in Turkey, but confirmed that the west London side should not face any problem in signing their target as he has an Italian passport.
He stated, “There are many clubs who are making offers for him, although nothing official has been done and he is still happy to be at Galatasaray. He could play for Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain as he has an Italian passport.”
Telles is not a Brazilian international and if the 22-year-old would have faced work-permit issues if he did not have an EU passport, though Chelsea should not face any issues if they look to bring him to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming days.
