De Bruyne Stars For Manchester City – The Best And The Worst Rated City Players vs Arsenal

Manchester City Player Ratings

Willy Caballero – 6.5/10

There wasn’t much he could do for both the Arsenal goals. Otherwise, looked composed and distributed well from the back.

Jesus Navas – 6/10

Was surprising to see him start a game, that too as a right-back. But had it comfortable than he would have expected. Contributed going forward as well.  Arsenal did not test him enough.

John Stones – 6.5/10

Marshalled Welbeck well for the course of the game. Solid enough and was the pick of the City defenders on the evening.

Nicolas Otamendi – 5/10

Was a liability at the back for City. Not good on the ball. Nervy and was troubled by the physicality of Giroud late on.

Gael Clichy – 6/10

At fault for the opening goal for Arsenal as he was slow to step out and as a result, played Walcott on-side. Defended steadily with vigour apart from that moment against his former side.

Fernandinho – 6.5/10

Shielded his defence well and was largely solid. Tested Ospina with a driving effort in the second half. Booked.

Kevin De Bruyne – 7.5/10

Sliced open the Arsenal defence with a wonderful through ball that Leroy Sane opened the scoring from. Unlucky not to score as he hit the post.

Raheem Sterling – 6/10

Started the game on the right flank and looked lively and caused problems to Monreal. Was taken off at half time, probably due to injury.

David Silva- 7/10

Grabbed another assist for himself as he set up Aguero to help restore the lead for City. Calm and composed, superb in possession, always seems to pick the right option.

Leroy Sane – 7/10

Did brilliantly well to open the scoring for the visitors and was a constant trouble with his pace for the Arsenal backline. Growing in stature with every passing week.

Sergio Aguero – 7/10

Scored the second goal for City from an acute angle. His movement and surging runs were a menace to the Arsenal defence.

Substitutes

Yaya Toure – 6/10

Replaced Sterling at half-time. A steady influence in the midfield apart from a few mistakes initially.

Pablo Zabaleta – NA

Came on for Silva in the final minute of the game.
