De Bruyne Off To Werder Bremen

The 20-year old Kevin De Bruyne has signed a one year loan deal with Werder Bremen with the hope to play as many games as possible.

The player is considered highly by the Blues and hopes to impress the Chelsea management during the upcoming season in Germany. Bremen’s general manager Klaus Allofs had this to say about the youngster to the official club website “We have Kevin for several months. We are glad that we can increase the quality in our squad with this commitment.”

De Bruyne himself was excited on his switch to the German side and was quoted by the club website as saying – “It’s great the move to Bremen is done. Werder has a great tradition, playing in one of the best leagues in Europe with a full stadium and I want, with my new team-mates, successful football.”

It would be interesting to watch if Chelsea still have the player in their plans for the future or a permanent move to Werder Bremen might be on the cards next season.
