Predicted West Brom line-up to face Crystal Palace in the League Cup

West Bromwich Albion picked up an important 2-0 win against Millwall in the Championship this weekend, further cementing their place in the playoff zone. Moore’s men looked defensively solid against Millwall and made their chances count.

The Baggies will now turn their attention to the midweek League Cup clash against Premier League outfit Crystal Palace. The Eagles played out a 0-0 stalemate against Newcastle United this weekend but talisman Wilfried Zaha has been in terrific form this season and can punish the Baggies.

Team News

Darren Moore will be relieved to have all his players back unscathed after the last game. His only long-term injury concern at the moment is James Morrison. A few changes are certainly expected to be made in order to keep things fresh.

Boaz Myhill (GK)

The Welsh international should start in place of Sam Johnstone.

Oluwatosin Adarabioyo (RCB)

The youngster has impressed at times this season and should start this game.

Ahmed Hegazi

Ahmed Hegazi (CB)

Hegazi is more than capable of playing multiple games in a week and he will lead the Baggies from the back.

Kyle Bartley (LCB)

Barley and Hegazi should continue their fruitful relationship at the back as West Brom aim to progress in the League Cup.

Matt Phillips (RM)

Phillips is one of the Baggies’ most potent threats right now. He will certainly pose a lot of problems down the flank.

Gareth Barry (RCM)

Barry has a lot of experience playing in the Premier League. He will start in central midfield and bring a sense of stability.

Chris Brunt (LCM)

Brunt hasn’t yet fulfilled his potential this season. The midfielder needs to improve on his urgency and set-pieces. He will partner Gareth Barry.

Kieran Gibbs (LM)

Gibbs got on the scoresheet this weekend and is in fine form this season. The former Arsenal star should start against Palace as well.

Wes Hoolahan (CAM)

Hoolahan looked good after coming on against Millwall. He will be aiming to impress the manager in this fixture and earn himself more game time.

Jay Rodriguez (ST)

Rodriguez has looked terrific going forward and will definitely rack up a number of goals for the Baggies this season. He will lead the line in this one as well.

Hal Robson-Kanu (ST)

Robson-Kanu will take the place of Dwight Gayle in order to provide the striker with some rest. Kanu has been an able deputy in recent times.
