Crystal Palace vs Liverpool prediction: Liverpool line-up

Liverpool are flying high on the table and are expected to continue their winning streak when they visit the Selhurst Park on Saturday. The Anfield outfit are 8 points clear at the top after beating Manchester City 3-1 in their last encounter.

With 1 point in their last four matches, Crystal Palace’s early promises have diminished recently. Roy Hodgson’s men should display an outstanding performance if they are to avoid humiliation against the Reds. Currently 12th in the league, the Eagles must find their way to the top-half sooner.

However, Liverpool look to be in sublime form and have dropped just two points this season. Klopp would be expecting his men to be in good shape after the international break.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

Team News

While Matip is yet to recover from a knee injury, Robertson, Gomez, and Henderson did not feature for their countries during the international break and are doubtful for the game against Crystal Palace.

Salah’s ankle injury has been an issue for Klopp and his return is unknown. Shaqiri is also doubtful for the game with his tricky calf problems. Meanwhile, Clyne is a long-term absentee.

Probable Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Alisson (GK)

The Brazilian is doing well since his return from injury. He would retain his spot in goal and will be hoping to keep a clean sheet for the team.

Alisson Becker

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The youngster’s performances have been growing stronger each day and his forward runs are impressive. He will surely start the right-back for Klopp.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

With Matip’s injury, Klopp has turned towards Lovren to fill the void left by his first-choice centre-back. The Croatian started against Manchester City and is expected to keep his place.

Virgil Van Dijk (CB)

The most in-form defender, Van Dijk has been a leader at the back. He would definitely start.

Virgil Van Dijk

James Milner (LB)

Robertson’s injury has put Kopp in a difficult situation and the only option left to cover this position would be James Milner, who has fared decently whenever he has been deployed as a full-back.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (RCM)

He has been scoring goals recently and with Henderson doubtful for the game, Chamberlain could start for the Reds. He must be picked ahead of Naby Keita.

Fabinho (CDM)

Fabinho started against Manchester City and scored a wonder goal from range. Since then, he has grown in confidence and would be the best option to start in the middle. He should surely start for the Reds.

Georginio Wijnaldum (LCM)

The Dutch international has been a regular starter for Klopp’s side and has been a key member of the team since his move to Anfield. He would certainly retain his spot.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane has been banging goals regularly for his team and he would look to add another few to his tally, against Crystal Palace. Mane would be an undoubted starter.

Divock Origi (RW)

Origi is expected to start in the place of injured Salah. He has also been excellent for the Reds irrespective of game time. He has always been a game-changer coming on from the bench.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

The Brazilian has been instrumental in their attack. Though he may not score plenty, he has been a key member up front and has made major contributions by linking well with the wingers. He is sure to start at the weekend.
