Crystal Palace opinion: The Eagles should make a move for Max Kruse

Combined, the four strikers have just one goal to their name. It was one of the many reasons why the Eagles have struggled and been part of a relegation battle for a large part of this season.
The addition of Batshuayi on loan changed things and they now have an 11-point lead over 18th-placed Cardiff City.
Yet, the same cannot be said about their hopes for next season, especially if they lose the Belgian. Things will get worse, but as mentioned above, Palace are keen on a move for Werder Bremen star Max Kruse.
Now 30, Kruse would be a great addition to Selhurst Park. Palace have already done some great business, snatching Max Meyer on a free.
A shadow striker, Max Kruse is not a typical center-forward. This has been proven on more than one occasion this season, with Kruse contributing to 24 goals, so far this season.
The German uses his intelligence and tactical discipline to take defenders out of the game, before setting teammates through. He combines that with his work-rate in the final third.
For Crystal Palace, Kruse is effectively the best player they can get. He will allow Wilfried Zaha, Andros Townsend and even Max Meyer himself to flourish, given his propensity towards helping teammates out.
The fact that he’s available for free in the summer, will allow the club to reinforce in other areas.
